5 Days
5 - 15 manageable minutes
5 meditative poems
5 mini self-care challenges to help you make self-love a daily habit
I’ve got you. 👇🏽
You know it’s important, and want to make this space for yourself, but just don’t how to get started with making this a daily habit.
I get it, me too.
We’re all caring for children with complex needs and trying to navigate a world that doesn’t always understand them - or us, in many cases! - and advocacy can be a constant battle. It’s important to be there for our children, but where is the time for taking care of ourselves?
It’s times like these (when it seems the most impossible) that self-care is even more important - something we need to be intentional about, and make do-able around everything else. That’s why I call myself a ‘self-care activist’ - because this doesn’t come naturally to me, or to so many of us (especially those of us socialised as women) who tend put everyone else first - so caring for ourselves is an action we need to take.
There are no hour-long massages here, or full days offline walking in the forest (although if these activities bring you joy and you can manage it, do these too!).
What I’m offering, before the onslaught of the school holidays, is a simple 5-day challenge, to take care of yourself for a manageable 5 - 15 minutes a day, guided by the 5 short meditative poems from my poetry collection.
